Like Minded
Remember the faith and courage that Jonathan demonstrated when he went against a whole regent of Philistines with just his armor-bearer. Jonathan sees this same faith and courage in David and it is the basis of the instant bond. The Bible says the Spirit bears witness with others.
Have you ever had this sort of instant bond with someone? It doesn't matter how long it has been since you've seen them or even how long it has been since you talked you carry on as if you never missed a beat. These are the kinds of friendships we need. Encouraging, uplifting, and like-minded. Spurring one another to good deeds. Find your soul-mate, and I'm not talking about your husband or wife, although they should definitely be this kind of friend too.
