This section stood out to me because it shows a recurrent theme in scripture. God's involvement in humanity turns everything upside down. The Fall has caused us to view the world in a certain way and so many God steps in and says "Um, actually, it's the complete opposite." Hannah is able to experience this through the blessing of a child she did not expect to have. Jesus carries this into the New Testament with the Beattitudes. Our society is constructed in a way contrary to what God intended it for. This gives me hope because life can seem really unfair sometimes and it's comforting to know that God has a different agenda from the world.
