Cannibalism?
How desperate does one have to be to eat your children? The bible is brief in it's description here, but the pain and anguish these people suffered through this famine must have been extremely intense. I sometimes wish the bible was a bit more descriptive, but in essence this is God's way of saying only what we need to know, and not embelishing on irrelevent details. This happens to us all in questioning the judgment of God in our own lives. We are frustrated in not knowing all the details, when God is simply telling us only what we need to know. The details aren't important. Follow God in faith, and trust him in all areas of our lives.
