What moves God's heart to save a man?

David has in this whole Psalm a beginning of an understanding of God, in all His greatness, but not really an understanding of either himself as a worthless sinner or the true basis/motivation of God in grasping what moves God's heart in the great plan of salvation. It is NOT based on my righteousness but the redeeming love that is God's heart.
