Randomly
You have got to check out 1 Kings 22. What an awesome story God gave us about how Mighty He is.
To make a long story short, Ahab and Jehoshaphat are gonna team up and go to war. Well, the prophet Micaiah tells Ahab if he goes to war he will die...today. So cool Ahab decides that he will disguise himself so that no one will come after him. So these two dudes go to war and all is well. But then.......
A soldier(catch this word)..RANDOMLY... shot an arrow at the troops. And just where do you suppose this RANDOMLY shot arrow goes? 1 Kings 22:34 says....the arrow hit the king of Israel(Ahab) between the joints of his armor.... The arrow just didn't hit Ahab, but hit him at the only place that it could hurt him....between the joints of his armor.
This word really jumped off the page at me today...randomly.....randomly. Maybe randomly in man's eyes, but not randomly in God's eyes. God knew how Ahab would die before Ahab ever put on his disguise. As the arrow left the bow of that soldier the Spirit of God carried it to its precise destination. Randomly?...No, not with God. Nothing in our life just happens. There is a reason for it all.
Did you watch the movie..Evan Almighty? In that movie God tells Evan to do one random act of kindness daily. Random...Random to man but not Random to God.
When you Randomly help someone, you may not realize just how much your help was needed. We think it was a spur of the moment idea to show the person some love, but God can take that arrow of love and touch their heart in a way we may never realize on this side of Eternity.
Randomly....Randomly....Maybe random to man...but not Random to God.
