Work on Me

How many times do we ask God to show us the wonderful things of His law? David was obsessed. He wanted to do everything God told him to. He was like God's little groupie. And yet, what we see in verses 21-23 is that life isn't going particularly well. Things aren't on the up and up for him. It's like he's a groupie for a band that hasn't a good album in a long time. But just like somebody sold out for their favorite band, God's holiness or his worth to David was not based on his own current circumstances. David loved God's laws and wanted to follow them no matter what was going on in his life at the time. Wow.
