Man named animals and his helper
It seems interesting that Adam named all the animals. Then, right after not finding a helper God forms Eve then Adam names her.
Naming her means perhaps that Adam had the authority to name which may mean the male gender's role is to name. How important a father's word and name he calls his son is to us as people.
Ultimately this act of Adam is a sign of how God names us. Even Adam's act with the animals was not his own authority but delegated from God himself. Our call to be fruitful and multiply on the earth is a delegated authority--a mission from God.
So, who am I naming? How am I using God's delegated authority and do I know what my mission is?
