Wow! When I read about Gods power and what He can do and His creation - there is a scariness to God that we sometimes forget! Some of the images that Amos evokes stir in me fresh fear and awe and wonder of Him...

Verse 8:

He who made the Pleiades and Orion,

and turns deep darkness into the morning

and darkens the day into night,

who calls for the waters of the sea

and pours them out on the surface of the earth,

the Lord is his name; (Amos 5:8 ESV)
