Revenge: a dish best served cold...NOT
This verse is a lot like 1 Peter 3:9, if someone hits you most people would just smack back. But being a servent of God our one true desire is to follow in his footsteps, so I'm pretty sure Jesus wouldn't smack someone over the head no matter how made he was. I've heard this saying "turn the other cheeck" well Jesus turned his other cheeck for us. So when someone pushes you to that limit and you want to make them pay, the best way to hit them where it hurts is to just turn the other cheeck cause you never know who is watching and who you may influence to give their life to God!
