Lazarus, Lazarus, and Jesus
So we have what I believe to be a story told by Jesus...not a parable. Abraham states that raising the man named Lazarus from the dead will not persuade people.
The Godly irony of this story is that Jesus later did raise a different man named Lazarus from the dead. Scholars believe that the same people who heard or even witnessed that story were in the mob that cried for the crucifixion of Christ (Joh 11:46).
What about you...will Abrahams words only apply to the people of his day or will you also not submit?
