Every lack of growth, true failure, every curse, every downfall, any destruction in our life is only because of a lack of knowledge, revelation of Jesus. Our belief in who Jesus is is so vital. He is altogether lovely. Nothing in him preponderates.
The 4 gospels revealed Jesus in His many faces:
Matthew - written to Jews to show Jesus as king (Lion); represents boldness
Mark - Jesus the servant king (calf); represents strength and health to be in untiring labour
Luke - Jesus the son of man; represents the sympathies and intelligence of a Man
John - Jesus the son of God (eagle); representing sharp visions, prophetic discernment.
We receive the full revelation of who Jesus is through these 4 gospels and are transformed from glory to glory.
When the Holy Spirit opens up the bible to show the beauty of Jesus to us, and we lose our focus and look away to the distractions of the world, it will be a matter of time, the Holy Spirit will close the book on us ( no revelation, no transformation)
- God wants us to behold Jesus' beauty (which are found in His life story, the words He said, the actions He took and the people whom He impacted) and be transformed in His image to be like Him
- He does not want us to behold the world's sins, sad news and worries to be caught in its' snare to be discouraged and hopeless
Exodus 20:24-26
- God gave the 10 commandments but foresaw that men could not keep them an He gave them a way out
Exodus 20:24, 25
- An altar of earth you shall make to Me and sacrifice on it your burnt offerings and your peace offerings, your sheep and your oxen. In every place where I record My name and cause it to be remembered I will come to you and bless you. And if you will make Me an altar of stone, you shall not build it of hewn stone, for if you lift up a tool upon it you have polluted it.
- He dispensed pure Grace to the Israelites prior to the 10 commandments but they boasted of their self efforts to be able to serve Him
What this shows-At every point, even when man boasts of his own efforts and ability, God's heart is still tender towards him and gives man a way out to receive His grace and blessings
Exodus 21:1-6 The story of Hebrew servant who was willing to remain as a slave because of his wife and children and allowed his ear to be pierced by nails
- this is the story of Jesus' willingness to sacrifice and serve us. We the church, as Jesus' bride, were the one whom He stayed for, to die on the cross for us.
Psalm 40:6-7
Sacrifice and offering you did not desire
but my ears you have opened
burnt offerings and sin offerings you did not require. Then I said, "Here I am, I have come
it is written about me in the scroll.
Hebrew 10:5-12
Therefore, when Christ came into the world, he said:
"Sacrifice and offering you did not desire,
but a body you prepared for me; with burnt offerings and sin offerings you were not pleased. Then I said, 'Here I am—it is written about me in the scroll—I have come to do your will, my God.'" First he said, "Sacrifices and offerings, burnt offerings and sin offerings you did not desire, nor were you pleased with them"—though they were offered in accordance with the law. Then he said, "Here I am, I have come to do your will." He sets aside the first to establish the second. And by that will, we have been made holy through the sacrifice of the body of Jesus Christ once for all. Day after day every priest stands and performs his religious duties; again and again he offers the same sacrifices, which can never take away sins. But when this priest had offered for all time one sacrifice for sins, he sat down at the right hand of God
- reference to the nails that pierced Jesus' body on the cross to exchange for our health and wholeness
The story of Martha and Mary
- Jesus comes to serve us. When He comes to us, do we allow Him to serve us first, or do we get so busy serving Him that we do not receive Him?
We need to have an inward rest to be able to receive, let Jesus be the one who works out everything we need for this life, don't worry about tomorrow.
Hold everything with a loose hand, everything depends on God, the world doesn't hung on our shoulder. God has foreseen our needs and the demands on our Today. Don't be demand-conscious and start the day frenzied. DON'T WORRY ABOUT TOMORROW.
Everyday, let's be supply conscious, that Jesus already has given us the grace we need for our Today. We just step into His anointing to enable us to work
God cares for every single thing that is about us. He numbers the hair on our head and He loves us more than we are conscious of.
Ministry is about stepping into what God has already supplied into our lives. We tend to let our worries and fears, of what tomorrow may bring, to lead us to react and act without peace in our everyday life. We are stressed unnecessarily because we project these worries into our future.
BE SUPPLY MINDED IN WHATEVER I NEED FOR MY TOMORROW- His FULL grace, wisdom, favor, blessings n protection are already provided in my EVERY DAY.
