Freedom to be slaves
The New Living Translation phrases it more along those lines, that while we are free in Christ, we should not use it to cover up evil, and that freedom is only a right to do Christ's bidding.
I think this is especially striking in America's culture where we cling to our human right's, especially our right to freedom. But as Christian's, when our first priority is to serve Jesus, what does it really matter whether or not other men give us the freedom to do so or not? God's command should mean more to us than man's earthly law. I think we would do better to focus less on our so called "rights", and strive more to be a slave to God.
