The sun after vegetation?

With God, nothing is impossible. I find it interesting that the sun and moon are mentioned after day 3. I assumed that the sun was created before vegetation so photosynthesis could occur. It could have been there before, and this may just be a mention, or clarification of their roles. Hmmm, something to ponder.
