John 10:2-4
I read these verses and they calm my heart. Get my perspective right. To know that He (Jesus) comes for me, speaks to me, reassures me, then leads the way... and all I am to do is listen and follow. That makes my life so much simpler. But did you catch that? I'm not only to believe in Him, in what He says to me, but I'm to follow... just follow along after Him, where ever He goes, leads me. I like that. You know, this is all about surrender. Surrender to Him. Surrender to the fact that He talks to you and you can hear. Surrender to the fact that you will have to follow Him or else you will be lost. Surrender to His leading you out into... well, life. And all because He speaks to me and I am "familiar with His voice". I do hear your voice, my shepherd, and it calms me.
