Growing up, I always believed and was taught that if one was of Jewish descent, then they would be saved. Recently I was confronted with this again when studying, and again today it was in the daily reading. Isn't this confirmation that not all children of Israel (the nation, Jewish descent) will be saved? The Children of Israel are those who believe and follow Christ Jesus. Those are the ones who will be saved.
