Birth of Isaac

It has been many years coming! Abram & Sarai had first received the promise from God years ago. They had given up hope, which is why Sarai suggested that Abram sleep with her maidservant, Hagar. Many more years passed after this debacle, in which Abram became a father, but not the father of the promised child that would come through Sarai. Now that they were beyond hope of having children in the natural way, there came hoep thorugh the promise of the LORD, and now the birth of this child. It is the culmination of all of the years of waiting and serving. Now, Isaac was here, and there was laughter in the camp!
