Am I just babbling?
Building a sky scraper several thousand years ago, impressive! They were quite creative and skilled! They ALL had the same language! Power! Power! Powerful! The same prideful thoughts. The same goals, to become great. Well known. Seen by all!
SEEN BY ALL!
Building a tower for them was like going to the moon for us!
The USA is the first to get there! Hurry, the USA has to to be the first! Then we'll be greater! we'll stand out! We'll be honored and respected! Is our desire to understand the universe or to be the first and the greatest!
Hard times cause us to seek our Savior, to seek help, pride and arrogance keep us from seeking Him! If people need God maybe they'll look for Him instead of trying to be Him!
When their language was confused, can you imagine how terrifying this would have been? Think about that!
My husband and I did some mission work in Costs Rica a few tears ago. We stayed with a family that spoke zero English! Whoa...it took a lot of energy just trying to explain to each other what we meant! Exhausting!
But we did share one common bond- and that was Jesus! That's all we needed to make a spiritual connection! We spoke the same language on that level!
I need to be careful of motives. I am on a worship team. Is our motives to lead others into worship, or to be seen! To be admired?
Constantly have to pray against that, cause satan was a worshipper in heaven and it went to his head. We can see where it got him. He may even have been the worship leader! He constantly try's to get us to be like him and make the same bad choices!
Brothers and sisters, we have one goal
On this YouVersion Bible-- right? To encourage each other, to learn from each other, to study Gods Word together! To grow spiritually and become more LIKE God, but not to BECOME HIM! We have the same language don't we? Praise and worship and adoration language for Him! The same goals! To serve Him and have a deeper relationship with Him! It's Him- Him- Him, all about Him!
I Cor 13. I can speak with tongues of men and angels and if I don't have love it profits me nothing! I am like sounding bronze or a tinkling symbol......( kind of like a bunch of babel! )
Lord let my language be in love, not self absorbed, easily angered, or moody...let my language honor YOU today!
