Music and prophesy
Fascinating the role that the harpist plays here. Elisha is called-up on to prophesy in the name of the Lord. While he's reluctant to, given the people involved, he agrees. But he just doesn't pray, and seek God's voice, he calls for a harpist. I wonder about the connection here between what the harpist brings to the picture, the conversation. Obviously, music is involved. Perhaps familiar music, perhaps improvisation. Perhaps the music is actually an important "instrument" in revealing the voice of God. Thoughts on this or other comparable experiences either in scripture or in your life?
