Little Opportunities

Everyday we have little conversations with people. Some people call it small talk, but you might think of it as “little opportunities” for encouraging others to get to know Jesus.

Now, I am not talking about trying to manipulate every conversation into a sermon. I hate it when people try to commandeer a conversation and turn a dialog into a monologue. But you have many opportunities—within the context of a conversation to gently encourage people to turn to Christ.

When you call your family, your friends, or are talking to people at work—could there be a ‘little opportunity” hidden there in the conversations you have with others?

If someone is hurting offer to pray. If someone needs help, help them. You can offer to pray for people when they have problems or concerns. Just make sure you bring Christ into the conversation. As Paul said, “make the most of every opportunity”
