• v1 wholesome thinking - the right information from the right source.

1: Doubting of the second coming!
• following their own evil desires - they have a vested interest in not believing.
• 1st reason for doubt v4a it has been so long.
• 2nd reason for doubt v4b such radical intervention just don't happen.

2: Believing in the second coming!
• v5-7 doubt answered - creation and the flood. He will return and judge.
• v8-9 1st doubt answered - God doesn't work on our clock.
• v9 - patiently He waits - and be thankful.
• v10 - He will come like a thief in the night.
• v11 - live holy and godly lives.
• v12-13 - Present cosmos will be destroyed and a new heaven and earth will be created.
