Don't Assume

I was told once never to assume that I am different than the Israelites. Never assume that I am just OK; that I always listen. It is so easy just to assume that the Israelites just didn't get it and I do, and then never enter a deeper and truer introspective state.

When it really comes down to it, do I often listen to God when it makes me uncomfortable, or do I just move his instructions and the prompting of the Spirit down the priority list until they don't bother me anymore?
