Let's Party!

I absolutely love this. Jesus asked Levi (a guy who had a lot of "disliked" friends) to follow Him. Look what Levi did. He asked all his rowdy friends to come to His house and eat. He threw a party. I'm guessing Levi had had parties before and based off of the "disreputable sinner" comment in verse 15, they weren't a Old Testament Scroll study of Isaiah. But this party had one exception....Levy invited Jesus! Same party, same house, same friends...different purpose!

The question I'm asking myself today is when is the last time I threw a party and invited all my rowdy friends with the purpose of just eating with them and asking Jesus to show up? If He did it then....couldn't He do it now?

I guess I also have to ask myself...do I still have "rowdy friends"? If not then why am I here? To have a nice dinner with me and Jesus? Yes...sometimes. But I can't forget to party as well.

So let's break out our calendars and plan a party!
