Fighting Lust Every Day
I am currently in Recovery at my church. This is very similar to Celebrate Recovery at other churches. Lust was something that I was trying to fight off on my own and not being very successful. One of the first verses that I came across in Recovery was this verse. It hit me hard. God was telling me "If you think you can do this without Me GO FOR IT!" and he gave me over to lust. It nearly ruined my marriage and my family. I was worshiping women and my wife which is the creature rather than the Creator. Everyday is a struggle and every week I am in my group but God is here with me holding me up when I get weak.
