Did the Lord forget?
Many times I skimmed through this verse and thought that somehow the Lord has forgotten about them due to the word "remembered." Coming from the perspective of the author, the word remember, to me, is a different way of saying and the Lord thought about the beasts and all the cattle that were with Noah in the ark. God remembered... He gave thoughts to, and not in a sense of forgetfulness, intentionally nor voluntarily.
