Jehu is anointed king and kills the king of Israel and then kills his nephew who is king of Judah, but Jehu does not unite the kingdom. So, at this point both Israel and Judah, with the anointing of Jehoash in 2 Kings 11, have a king descended from David for the first time since Solomon.
