Paul takes us to a bigger perspective on why we should be striving for unity in the Body of Christ over 'secondary' issues. It's not about creating a harmonious community, compassion for individuals, or growing the church. It's about the glory of God, ultimately expressed in people from every tribe, tongue and nation worshiping Him.

When our focus is on the glory of God and not on our own piety or programs, we will find that welcoming those who differ from us yet have in common with us a passion for God's glory through the proclamation of the Gospel, will come naturally.
