Leviticus 12

The Lord gives Moses instructions on how to make a woman who just gave birth "clean".

A woman who gives birth to a son is unclean for 1 week and must wait 33 days before she can be purified from her bleeding.

A woman who gives birth to a daughter is unclean for 2 weeks and must wait 66 days before she can be purified from her bleeding.

To be purified the woman had to bring her burnt offering and sin offering to the priest, then she would be "clean".
