Things Change, Why Cant The Church See that Today?
In a matter of a few short chapters you see the Church thriving and doing well. People are sharing all the possessions and the widows are being fed. Then Stephen is killed for his unwavering faith and persecution broke out against all followers of Christ. A few verses later we see that it reads those who were scattered preached the word where every they went. The early church we good at adapting to change. If they had not scattered like they did the gospel would not have traveled as it did. But they had to abandon the way did once did things, everything the had done was now different. Even the disciples were no longer with them. Their leadership stayed behind. What if you came into church and there were not chairs, there would be some complaining. What if you came to church and their was a sign on the door. Could not pay the bill this month; evicted, go home and meet in your homes for worship.
