Jesus as means to an end

A I read Luke 23, it seemed that everyone wanted Jesus for some other reason than he came for. Pilot to appease the Jews and improve political relations with Herod. Herod wanted Jesus for amusement and entertainment. The mob in front of Pilot wanted Jesus to satisfy their anger. Jesus came to free us from the bondage of sin and reestablish our relationship to him. There was not a single person who could see that. Thank God that He loved us so much!
