Scripture - Luke 4:18-19
God’s Spirit is on me; he’s chosen me to preach the Message of good news to the poor, Sent me to announce pardon to prisoners and recovery of sight to the blind,
To set the burdened and battered free, to announce, “This is God’s year to act!”

Observation - Right after forty days and nights in the desert Jesus can not wait to declare what God the Father is doing. I can not imagine the struggle and temptation that Christ went through, and I can only imagine how His father felt watching that through all the pain His Son chose His will and His way. God's Spirit was on Jesus! He knew His directive sand understood that in the rough times ahead Father God was with Him.

Application - Paul encourages the church in Philippi to have the same attitude as Christ. May we make every decision with an influence of a Christ directive. That we can join in the cause of Christ with whatever we have going on in life. "To set the burdened and battered free". This is the time to act. To be apart of God the Saviors plan of salvation.

Prayer - Thank you Jesus for making a way to find faith. May my life live out your directive. Would you show me how to love like you, live like you, and lead like you. Be with my bride today, and show my kids your love. May Hope Church hear your voice today. I love you Lord.
