The end of chap. 3 God tells us "this is my Son in whom I am well pleased." What happens in chap. 4? He (Jesus) is led into the wilderness to be tested.
Don't be surprised when you come through a highmark time in your spiritual life then you go through testing. Look at Job also, it was when God recognized him for his righteous life that he then went through his great test. God's Word reminds us to count it joy when we fall into divers testing and this could be why. We see in Job's life and our Lord's life when God is pleased with our life be prepared for testing. It is for our good and His glory.
