In Justin Bieber's song "Common Denominator", JB is tired of "just being one half of the equation".

God created us to have relationships. He himself said, "It is not good for man to be alone; I will make [a] help meet for him." We were made to have another half.

However, God intended that, while we have a "help meet" so that we are not lonely, we still trust solely on Him because He is our ultimate Help Meet. When our earthly relationships fall through, we don't need to feel alone; God is there for us. And if we have that relationship with Him-- the kind that is unconditional, that is constant, that is too strong to be severed-- when we have THAT relationship with God, it is sooooo much easier to cope with the sin and suffering that goes on down here.
