God Has Us Where He Wants Us
Get this picture of God: He takes us broken sinful people and places us in the very center of His love.
What does God see in us that causes him to look past our evil and rebellious ways to have mercy and to show grace? He sees the very image of Himself. He sees "Christ in us." He sees us in the perfection He always intended for us when he gave us free will.
He continues to see us using our free will to love Him in return. He pours out forgiveness and mercy through Jesus because He never stopped loving us, never stopped seeing us made perfect through faith in Jesus.
There is something so wonderful about that kind of love to be incomprehensible to a mere human like myself. I can only accept it, and be forever grateful. Glory to God.
