Trust in the Lord, and do good. If we do this, God will bless us with the desires of our heart (Psalm 37:3). Have you decided to trust in The Lord and do good?
What kind of challenges are you facing today? Whatever it is that's way beyond our control, these things are what God wants you to trust in His hands (job, relationship, sickness, etc.). Psalm 37:16
How is your trust for God being put to the test today? How are you responding? v19 "In times of disaster, they will not wither, in days of famine, they will enjoy plenty".
- This scripture says "In times of disaster...", not, "If disaster comes...". Disaster will come, so what will our spiritual response be? Will God see us trusting or withering?
Were gonna have stumbles in our lives. We may have the Holy Spirit, but stumbling and is imminent. Psalm 37:23
1. Trusting in the Lord is not an option!
- We all want our children to trust us, God is no different! What kind of son or daughter are we to God? Is he excited about our trust and faithfulness to Him?
2 Chronicles 14:11-12; 2 Chronicles 16:8-9
These are two stories with opposite outcomes. In the first one, King Asa trusted in The Lord. In the 2nd story, King Asa didn't. Look at the two different outcomes!!
2. Trust and anxiety cannot exist together.
* Do you pour out your heart to God? Is he your refuge? Do you trust in Him at all times? Psalm 62:8-10
* Prayer guards our heart Phil 4. Who do we go to 1st in times of trouble? God? Or people? Guess what!?!? People cannot give you the peace that transcends all understanding.
* Trusting in God and being anxious are a choice. Were in control of the degree of our anxiety John 14
- Take some inventory in your own life. Where is your heart in relation to "Complete Trust in The Lord". Where do you put your trust, and how are those things affecting your life?
* Daniel 3:16-18 - Look at these men! See how they trust in God!! They didn't trust God based on what conditions! They trusted God whole heartedly "...but even if he does not, we want you to know, O king, that we will not serve your gods or worship the image of gold that you have set up."
This is a perfect example of men who trusted The Lord with their whole heart!! Is this what our lives looks like?
