Relationships (Part 2: Marriage)

I. With God Until we are reconciled in our relationship with the Lord, none of our relationshipa will be totally satisfying

II. With our spouse Our second most important relationship is our relationship with our spouse. It should reflect our relationship with Christ. A healthy marriage relationship is based on commitment and sacrifice. Commitment to our spouse Sacrifice for our spouse. Just as Jesus did for His bride, the Church Be willing to do whatever it takes to make the relationship work. What is the one thing in your life, your future, that you would have to really think about giving up to make the relationship work? Family vs career Children vs no children job/career choice/relocation Jesus is our example (He didn't want to go to the cross, but He was willing to do so to have a relationship with us) Don't expect spouse to respect you if you are lazy, demanding. He who loses his life will find it Give up a life where you only do things to satisfy yourself, to share a life with a spouse who loves, honors, respects, and adores you. Same with your relationship with God.
