The flood would ave wiped out all eatable vegetation. Which is why there were seven of each clean animal (food, not only for Noah & his family but also for ALL of the animals, clean and unclean). So Noah offering this sacrifice was another act of faith: that God would provide for him, his family and all of the animals. Just a thought! And here I am having trouble trusting God with my money. He will provide.
