Dunkirk Baptist Church
Pastor Rick Hancock
There are signs every where.
- Many are warning signs.
- Many remind of us where we have been.
Paul encourages the church:
- To look BACK vv1-10
Paul reminds the Corinthians of the Israelites promises are theirs too:
1. Their Supernatural guidance and protection
2. Their miraculous deliverance
3. Their hope in Christ
4. Their spiritual food
5. Their spiritual drink
Paul also reminds them of the failures of the Israelites that they too are participating in
1. Idolatry
2. Questioning God
3. Rebel against authority
Be thankful others made these mistakes so we can learn from them.
- To look FORWARD vv 11-12
~ Be careful how you live your life.
- To look UP vv 13-22
~ Temptations we are facing are not new.
~ These temptations can be met and endured by looking to God
Don't make the mistakes of the past, learn from the past mistakes.
Heed the warning signs of he past.
Father, thank You for reminding us of other's mistakes so that we will not repeat the same mistakes.
