It's interesting how Jesus begins his teaching on this day by addressing humility.

Being poor, mournful, or meek aren't typically viewed as advantageous states of being. But Jesus said they are. That when we're humble and weak we will be comforted... we will inherit the earth... and the kingdom of heaven, it's ours.
