Who I am
God, I want to see myself the way you see me. Not in a prideful, self-promoting light, rather in truth with your word as my measuring rod. Help me, Lord, to embrace the gifts and talents you have given me. To diminish my worth is to diminish you, for you shaped me for a purpose.
Help me take stock of how you have uniquely equipped me. Help me understand how much I mean to you. Help me see that your praise is all I need and should seek.
Remove conceit from my heart and remove the pride that distorts who I am in the reflection of my own mind.
God, help me to accept constructive criticism from those you have placed in my life. Grant me the wisdom to know who speaks true counsel to me.
Let not my pride, nor the praise of man, determine how I see myself. Only your judgment feeds my soul and corrects me.
