Part of the mission...
How quickly we forget, in the humdrum of our lives, that we are called to more than the daily grind. We have a great commission before us - to spread the Good News and to make disciples of all men. But God does not leave us wanting for instructions. Here in Luke 4:18, we get a glimpse of what this commission looks like - where we can start, a formation of purpose. While we certainly need to witness to those around us, we really should be just living for Christ for them to see and being open and inviting about our best friend and Saviour. But for those who are poor, blind and oppressed, there are needs that can only be met through those operating in the power of the Holy Spirit to serve! Please God - show me opportunities to serve in such a way. Never let me forget what my purpose is in living out your great Commission!
