Kicking out vain thoughts
Jeremiah simply asked Jerusalem how long shall your vain thoughts lodge within thee. Ever get a bad thought?..... Sure we all do. But what you do with that thought is what matters. The wrong kind of thoughts can put even the best Christain flat on his back. Bad thoughts are like bad renters they come in and they destroy your life they knock holes in the sheetrock, they let their kids draw all over the walls, they tear up the carpet, they tear down the doors, and if you don't get them out you won't have any thing left. When bad thoughts come in we need to get them out as soon as possible don't let them lodge there. They will destroy your property. No major sin was ever committed without first that person dwelling on it mentally. They let a vain thought lodge in their mind, then they fell deep into sin.
