Leadership of Kings: Hiram of Tyre
This man was not simply Solomon's choice but rather God's gift to Solomon for the building of the temple. For Leadership to suceed, God must provide detailed craftsmen like Hiram for the building of his work.
What made this man annointed for the job, was his background. HIs father was a man of Tyre (foreign land in which he probably learned his trade, but his mother was of the tribe of Naphtali). This man would have known the scriptures from his mother, and would have had a strong understanding of the work which he was doing.
When God prepares a man for a task, he starts with the Parents of the man (Jeremiah-before you were formed in the womb).
Many men whom receive a soverign calling from God can see God at work in their childhood bringing them to such a point (Charles Spurgeon and his Grandfather the preacher)
Who this man was (the person) was not seperated from the skill. vs. 15 records that this man was filled with wisdom and understanding. This information is presented first (probably because this takes precident in God's eyes over your talents).
