Bloody Tongues, and Robots.

Individuality through idea not desired.
Spoon fed compatibility from the masses.
Open mouths, closed minds: Connected,
To a nearly invincible thing of a system.
Whirlwind of peer-driven mentality flood the streets of provoked thought.
Righteous and compassionate composition of the human makeup prevailed over by the unquestionable dialogue of the majority.
Vast amount of intellectual capability playing side dish for the buffet of axiom.
Salvation in the mind, but blocked by the conscious mouth.
Burning the bridge for a fellow brother.
Blood stained shirts and wishful thought from the tongues of those who bite.
Those of a language full of flavor, and purposeful light,
hidden behind an unrestrained curtain of secularity.
Those with and undeniable frightful sensation knocking on the inside of their teeth.
The sensation of a question…Why?

What Thomas does here is Beautiful..
Unsure and puzzled by Jesus' last statement, He decided to ask questions, not accepting the imediate verbal statement as efficient. The outcome of the situation, is that Thomas now has a more clear vision of what Jesus ment because of his ability to ask questions.
As Christians I feel that we do not do this enough..(my being frank about this situation may be looked down upon, but I refuse to bite my tongue.) Sitting back in a pew, being analytical about the people and situations that are taking place in my surroundings I have drawn up a conclusion that many of the Christians that surround me, in my everyday life have never stopped and asked, why?
Though Christianity is beautiful because of its simplicity, understanding it can be very complex, and I don't see how a person can reach any understanding of anything without questioning why things are the way things are..
We are called to be the salt and light of the world, but it is hard for us to do this if we don't know why we are "salty" and why we are "bright"

Thomas is not the only one that follows this act of questioning. I recently read a book called Velvit Elvis by Rob Bell, who writes about this topic. He shares that Mary when confronted by and angel purposes a question for better understanding and even Jesus dying on the cross ask for an better understanding of "why he has been forsaken".

In proverbs, Solomon does not take knowledge for granted and neither should we.

Stop the axiom.
