My thoughts on Matthew 9
Reading Matthew 9 to I learned it in a different sence that I never really paid attention to before. Matthew was a tax collecter and back then theses kind of people was worse than sinners. and Jesus came to him and said these simple words "FOLLW ME" and then went to his house and ate dinner with him. Matthew had a party at his house, but Jesus went where Mattew would be comfortable. And the Just people wanted to know why Jesus was hanging around people like Matthew. Jesus came to be followed . Jesus liked people that was unlike him and people that was unlike him liked Jesus. Jesus came for Mercy not sacrifice. Jesus says ' For I m not come to call the rigteous but sinners to repentance. Jesus just wants us to Follow him... Jesus wants a relationship with us, we must believe and trust in hm. He's not here to knock us down he takes campassion on us and wants to love us. Psalm 32;1 Oh,what joy for those whose disobedience is forgiven, whose sin is put out of sight! (life application sudy bible) Ephesians 1;6 So we praise God for the glorious grae he has poured out on us who belong to his dear Son. Romans 8;1 So now there is no condenmation for those who belong to Christ Jesus.
