The Lord told Moses His commands to give Aaron and the rest of the Israelites regarding the eating of blood.

Any Israelite or alien living with them who ate an animal's blood or made a sacrifice outside the Tent of Meeting would be cut off from the people.

Before eating any animal the blood had to be drained out of it.

The life of any animal is the blood that is in it.

Anyone who ate road kill was considered clean if they washed their clothes and body.
