Not any kind of response is acceptable!

The playing of the flute should have resulted in dancing. The singing of the dirge should've resulted in mourning. The works of God should've resulted in the repentance of the people but they gave no proper response and therefor the Lord's proper response was t denounce the cities because they did not repent.
