How Quickly We Forget

Wasn't it just a short time ago that the same disciples were in much the same situation and asked the very same question? Then, Jesus fed 5000 with fewer loaves and less fish. Here we have only 4000 and more bread and fish. Yet Jesus does not get frustrated and remind them that He has taken care of this before and can easily do it again. Instead He calmly repeats the miracle and the people are satisfied, both physically and spiritually.

How often we forget what God has done for us and wonder if He will provide for us again. We also see here the attitude we should have in teaching others, that we must demonstrate patience, even if we have to repeat a lesson to those who might not understand it the first time.
