I trust in you, O Lord
Life doesn't always go the way we would like it to go. This is certainly the case in this Psalm for David. His life is consumed by anguish, his years by groaning and his bones grow weak. "But", he resolutely says "I trust in you, O Lord". David developed this trust through his difficulties, not his good times. It is through difficult times that we learn who or what can be trusted. Everything we trust in will fail at some point, except God. As we lean into Him during our difficulties, we learn He is indeed trustworthy. And then, like David, with confidence we can face the difficulties of life saying "But I trust in you, O Lord."
