Prayer

Do this verse qualitatively change my prayer life?  Do I regularly confess sin to men who I trust to pray for me?  Do I believe that prayer is as powerful as James says it to be?

I read this and am reminded that the righteous man is made righteous through Christ and that it's not on my shoulders to make myself righteous.  And that allows me to confess my sins, and pray confidently to a God who has restored me to himself.  And as true as this is for me, I'm still called to restore the brother/sister in Christ who has strayed as well and remind them that they were made righteous by Christ.

We are saved by grace through faith.  And it is through prayer offered in faith that we have power.  Believing the promises of God and having faith that he is faithful is what brings healing and forgiveness.  Our prayers should be offered up to God with full confidence in His ability to provide according to His will.
