Matthew9:18-26

The part that hits me the most is that they made fun of Jesus when he told them that she was just asleep. That didn't phase him. He was not bitter about it or had a "I'll show them" attitude. There's a great leadership lesson in that. When we follow Christ and lead others, we should not be deterred from people who make fun of us. It shouldn't deter us from caring for those in need. If Jesus was caught up in those things, there would be no salvation. He would have enjoyed makng good money and building a house on the lake, but people needed saved and help and he was propelled by his love to do so even if people didn't understand and mocked him.

Being mcked was a small thing compared to seeing people suffer, physically, mentally, spiritually...and do nothing about it.
